Hello everyone!
My name is Natalie Rogers. I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA. I am twenty-four years old and I have a beautiful six year old named Lina. My goal is to get into the Nursing program then eventually get a bachelor's degree in nursing. I am a recent graduated from Empire College with an AA in Medical Assisting. I attended SRJC about five years ago but was young and wasn't ready. Now I know what needs to be done for me to get where I want to go and I'm excited to get moving and get further.
I am taking this English100 course as a prerequisite for English1A. When it comes to my school work, I like to finish early. I like to have all my assignments ahead of time so I could get started and complete them. It feels good when you are done and not stressing last minute. However, I am human and at times life does get in the way. That said, I do great last minute work and I work well under pressure. English is my second favorite subject because I like to read and write. I'm excited for this semester and I look forward to blogging and having discussions with all of you!
Hi Natalie!

Natalie,
ReplyDeleteI also have a 6 year old daughter. I was originally thinking about doing Medical Assisting, but I decided to go with Pharmacy Technician. I am also taking this class as a prerequisite for English 1A. I have somewhat struggled with being ready for school. Well, actually I have been ready for school for about 4 years now, but I have not have adequate child care to accomplish my goals in school. I had to drop classes after the drop date because I would lose my child care. I have been going to the JC successfully for two semesters now because I found online classes. Online classes seem to give me a better opportunity to get my work done. If I end up not having child care, I can still do my work because it is online. I do not have to worry about finding some one to watch my children so that I can attend classes on campus. I wish you luck in accomplishing your goals and obtaining your degree in nursing.
Hi Natalie. We share the same education goals.Im in the medical assistant program right now and later on go on to the nursing program and get my BA in nursing. good luck :-)

Hi Natalie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for you comment on my post. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one afarid of public speaking and I also admire those outgoing people.
Being a nurse seems like a great goal, my best friend is also trying to become a nurse. We always need more wonderful people to become nurses.
How cute you have a 6 year old daughter and she has one of my favorite names! I love the name Lina, and with that way of spelling also.
(: Hi Natalie!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that your baby girl is now 6 years old. I have not seen you for so many years now. It sounds like you are doing well, and that you are on your way to a career. Doesn't it feel good to know that you are one step closer to one of the many goals in your life? I know I do, that's for sure. I went to the JC for so many years not knowing what I wanted to do. And I'm still trying to decide. Well hope to talk to you soon.
Hi Natalie,
ReplyDeleteI have a 6 year old daughter too. I'm loving this age. 6 year olds are fearless and confident.
What made you decide on nursing? It's a great career and SRJC's school is impressive.

Take care,
